Quoting: Anonymous Coward 773169That defeats the whole point. I think the OP, if I'm understanding him correctly, is interested in experiencing homelessness from a non-desolate point of view. IE- he isn't being forced into homelessness, he's "letting it happen, and enjoying the ride it takes him on". It's all about life experience. Being homeless in Florida wouldn't be so bad (100% true freedom). I'd probably do a lot of Croc-hunting, fishing and scrap-metal-collecting. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 794685Just don't be in your undergarments with your meth lab on display when the owner comes back. I actually scouted a beachfront property (I live 2 minutes from the beach on foot currently) and it seems promising as an occasional headquarters, no signs of other homeless, no graffiti, no trash. Also, I'm currently not an alcoholic, and only ingest cannabis and the occasional psychedelic, no MDMA either to bring me into the pits. Just trying to live and enjoy it. A strange sense of FREEDOM envelopes you when you truly have only your body and will, no needs but those you choose. mortal coil, kush master |

They are kicking you out because you refuse to get a job and sit around smoking weed all day playing WOW? am I close? That insulting. Some people just prefer to live outside the binds of contemporary society. I've had thoughts similar to the OP's for years and I do not live with my parents, do not play games, work a full time job and can smoke as much weed as I want. Have some more respect. |

My mortgage is less than that and many places you can rent a whole apartment for that much. Anyway, if food is included that might be a good deal. But for just a room then $300 would be more like it. |

I live with dad and brother, we all chip in to exist where we are, I kept breaking my fathers house rules though, I had little respect for myself and others, and have found myself here. As an actual goal, I plan on entering the Marines. I understand I ranted about becoming a cog in the machine, but I see the dark days coming ahead and have determined this path to be most acceptable for the future. I long for the brotherhood of the Corps. And to a lesser extent the training, abilities, opportunities and acquaintances that come with it. But yes, lived with parents, did not respect what they graciously gave me, squandered my college opportunities which I am deeply pained and ashamed of, and now this hand has been dealt, or rather, I choose these cards.
