Re: Have you ever witnessed a Miracle? I have, more than once. Post it here, if so. I'll start...
Years ago, myself, 2 friends, & our girlfriends went to Gladewater on Pentecost to check out a bud who was starting a Ministry at his place.

Not a group of religious stuff-shirts, were we...
& neither was the guy starting the Ministry (Bro. Ben).

I was in a Metal band, w/ almost waist-length hair, & everyone else was similar.

When we arrived, the girls stayed up by the main bldg to have a look around while us guys went down to the lake (lakeside property,) to fire up the grill.

We hadn't been there for 10 minutes, when a scream came from up the hill where the girls were.

Amy, my bud Joe's soon-to-be wife was the one who had screamed, & when we ran up the hill, we found her holding Christopher, their son, & frantically brushing dozens & dozens of fire-ants off of him.

Christopher was 2 at the time, and deathly allergic to ants & bees. One bite would cause huge swelling & a feverish/allergic-type reaction on a normal day... & he'd stepped right out of the car & into the middle of a fire-ant hill, & had dozens of bites all over him.

By the time we reached them (45 seconds?) Christopher had stopped crying.

He began to have trouble breathing.

Large amounts of fluid started coming from his mouth & nose every time he'd exhale, his breathing sped up terribly, he turned white as a sheet (except the bites, which were already nickel/dime size & red), started sweating & began to visibly stiffen.

I'm telling you, I saw his eyes start to glaze over.

What was happening is that he was going into Anaphylactic Shock.

This baby was dying right before our eyes & there was nothing WE could do, since we were at least 20 miles from the nearest Hospital & the changes I describe happened to him in just a couple of minutes.

It was the WORST thing that could've happened... and calling 911 wasn't even an option.

We ran him inside, stripped him to his underwear (frantic ant search), laid him on the floor & without thinking about it, the four of us (Joe, Ben, Russell, & me) laid our hands on him & began to pray.

Rick stayed outside with the girls, who were all trying to calm Amy.

He was stiff as a board, cold, breathing VERY shallowly & quickly, & staring blankly at the ceiling... at nothing.

Within 30 or so seconds (who knows? It was intense) We watched a LINE, literally a LINE, appear at his feet & begin to move slowly up his body towards his head.

Before the line was dying child, covered in huge red welts...

Behind the line was coloring skin, & disappearing welts...

When the line reached the top of his head, he suddenly jumped up, ran over to the bookshelf, & began pulling books off the shelf... just like a normal 2 yr old.

A fire-ant bite usually showed on this kid for DAYS... red swollen, & irritated... sometimes a single bite would sicken him.

But within 30/45 minutes, the welts had reduced to small pimple-like marks, & were gone almost completely by the following morning.

Instantly & completely healed.

No adverse effects.

I promise this is true.

Needless to say, we left immediately, despite what we'd seen happen, because his parents wanted to get him to a doctor.

We stopped to get gas on the way back & Joe said to me:

"Man, when we were Praying, did you hear Bro. Ben speaking in tongues?"

"It wasn't like when you hear guys on TV do it... fake sounding, it was like music... like a language."

I told him that Ben had done no such thing (none of us did or do), and I knew this, since Ben & I were shoulder-to-shoulder throughout the entire event.

He said "Yes he was!" "It was the loudest thing in the room!"

To convince him, I called Russell, who confirmed what I told him.

I looked at him & (goosebumps here) said "You are the only person I've ever known who heard the VOICE of the Holy Spirit pleading before the Throne for the life of your child.

He could hear it, because he was Christopher's dad, & was frantic for the life of his son.

The doctor gave Christopher some Benadryl, since he couldn't find anything really wrong.

That's one.

I have also witnessed miracles
My daughter who was 17 was having emotional problems very severely-she ended up going into treatment for a nervous breakdown

The doctors called me and told me it was not emotional but she had a thyroid condition which affected her weight and clubby look to her hands and neck. She was subsequently put on syntrax to regulate her thyroid.

I began praying and praying for her - I don't know exactly when it changed but I felt that after a year she should go off the meds-which she did because we became unisured and could no longer afford it.

I continued in prayer for several years and last year at age 20 she went to the doctor and her blood work IS completely normal - she is now 45 lbs thinner and has no emotional problems

Prayer works - and God answers prayers
I know this for a fact and have witnessed her complete and total healing

On oct. 28th, I took 12 xanax bars and got myself into a situation, i got shot square in the chest with an AK47, the bullet entered where the neck meets my chest, so lower neck i would say, it traveled through my clavicle which shattered, tore my subclavian artery and went through the Brachial Plexus nerves which control my motor movement and feelins for my right arm, it came out my humerous which basically blew it to pieces..., my ball and socket joint is screwed up, and my lung collapsed, i was done for.. after being shot i was beat for a good minute, i was bleeding heavily due to the artery torn which runs to my heart and my shooter did nothing in attempt to save my life, he wanted me dead. Even though I was in the wrong at the time, nobody deserves to die. My body was numb, my chest was hot, and I could feel the blood coming out my mouth, my vision was blacking out, i couldnt feel my arm.. i thought it was hanging loosely in my sleeve, disconnected from my body; but in reality there was just a big fucking whole comming in my chest and out my arm.. I remember yelling for EMS till I couldn't anymore, i don't know if i really was due to my lung, or i was just delusional; i could feel the drugs still in my system, my Blood pressure mustve been seriously fucked up, i noticed i was losing it.. i was sitting, legs out, my back against a wall, i laid my head down on the wood floor, and prepared to die.. i remember still comming in and out of consiousness; the cops, the paramedics.. i was careflighted to Harris Methodist Hospital; i don't remember at all. I remember saying one thing over and over; to whom I don't know. "I'm only 16 I don't wanna die, I'm only 16 , I don't wanna die" I dont remember getting an answer back.. I don't remember seeing any white light;.. no jesus, no god, no clouds, no nothing; just darkness... I woku up from a coma 3 days later; i was so thirsty.. i had a tube going down my throat, i was on life support, IV in my jugular vein, and i couldnt move my right arm at all. I was told by so many doctors It was a miracle that I was alive, doctors and nurses all over the hospital came by to see me,to tell me the same. They almost lost me a couple times; The night that I came in I was lucky.. The trauma, Orthopedic Surgeon, and Neurologist were all in the same place at the same time, which dosent ever happen. I was given 64 UNITS of blood.. I cant believe i'm here writing this with one arm today, I hardly have any feeling or movement in my right arm but I have some.. It's truely a miracle i'm alive, I have 50/50 chance of recovery, i hope that i make it, i spent 27 days in the hospital and 9 in ICU, i've decided to turn my life around and do something different. I have these nasty scars to remind me, which if yall want to see ill upload a picture, that theres more than one way to live life..

WOW.

And you're only 16...

Do you know what the real Blessing is in all of that?

Not *just* that this happened to you & you survived it, but that it happened to you SO early in life, & you still have the chance to live a full life on the right path.

It could have happened at 26, 36, 46, 56, 66... and even if you'd survived it then, you'd have wasted the majority of your life.

But you got Blessed instead.

Now, you've got a real chance with the wisdom, experience, & hopefully gratitude for making it through that to *really* do something with your life man... and a fantastic Testimony that can help others as well.

We all witness miracles everyday. Let me explain...

It is estimated that approximately 57 billion people have ever lived since the beginning. In the US, 42.5 million households have at least one dog. I have no idea how many dogs are walking the earth today.

Given those numbers, what are the odds that I would end up with the particular dog I have? The odds that we would share the earth at the same time? The odds that we would cross paths and become best friends? I would argue that they would be astronomical. Most see this as a minor coincidence but I see it as one of the many little miracles we all see, everyday.

As a Christian, if you believe our existence is intelligent design, as well as the earth, plants, animals etc. If you believe that it is no accident or "big bang" theory that we are here but rather one of divine creation, then you have to believe that it is not mere coincidence that we are where we are. That we came together with our spouses, pets, coworkers, etc.

I was sitting there in my easy chair one night, petting my scruffy little dog, who never leaves my side and loves me unconditionally and just though, "what are the odds? With all the people who have ever live, over thousands of years. Of all the dogs that have ever lived, I was blessed with this little guy". It struck me that the chances of that happening are mind-boggling! In my mind I just said, "Thank You, Lord".

The ability to notice the *small things* for what they are is a Blessing indeed bro... nice.

My Dad will sometimes walk the property & just look at the trees... look at the leaves on the trees & the intricate design that allows them to function & live... stuff like that.

And thank God for them.

My wife was pregnant to our first child. She started to have problems with her pregnancy from almost the first month. She was having terrible pains, as in labor. When she was 1.5 months pregnant, she entered the hospital. She had to have her (according to the translation of google) cervical "tied" which required for the doctors to put her to "sleep" with drugs before the surgery, just for 10 minutes, because otherwise the baby might be in danger.
She stayed in the hospital for 1,5 months. During this time, she had terrible pains every day, every minute. The doctors had her with intravenous hormones in order to reduce the risk of loosing the baby. The problem was that the "stitch" she had was of metal so, probably the womb could had been damaged is she continue to have many (again from google translator) contractions. She also had a vomit every 15 minutes all the day.
When she finally got out of the hospital was still in pain but she had medicines for home and doctors said she had to be in bed.
She finally reached 5 months of pregnancy and had to go to the hospital again for the same reason. She stayed in for 3 months straight this time. The doctors was changing the serum every time (i can't recall the medicine she was taking right now) every so often. At some time she was filling all of her hand veins to be in pain cause of the needles, so the doctors had to change vein every 12 hours. At some point one doctor told me that the successfull ending of the pregnancy was 50-50. It tore my heart. After all this agony and struggle of my wife, 50-50 was not good enough for her. So it continue until she got 7 months old and doctors said that the kid was upside down. It was big enough and the head started to "stuck" between of the lungs of my wife causing her trouble in breathing (at least that is what she felt like). When she entered the 8 month we said to the doctors to arange for a surgery because breathing was a torment for my wife. So they did. They took the baby with a caesarean but the drugs didn't do much of a job and my wife felt many things and had a lot of pain. She didn't see the baby for five days because they had to transfer it to a bigger hospital in a incubator because it was breathing too fast and had to control this problem. She saw the baby after 5 days which we all went home.
Right now the miracle is my wife which had so much strength in her to suffer so much for this baby.
The miracle is my baby girl which now is 16 months old.
I wish that God will give them strength and health for ever.

Indeed.

My Stepmother reminded me of this one just last weekend from 20+ yrs ago:

She knows a woman who had a terrible methamphetamine problem... and everyday user, IV junkie, and she was pregnant.

SUCH a junkie, that she shot-up literally all through the pregnancy, everyday, and also right before she went on the table to have her baby.

People that know this woman, including my stepmom, began to Pray that God would put some sort of *filter* between her & the baby inside her... that He'd keep the drugs from entering the baby... they were all afraid (obviously) of what this baby was going to be like once born, if he survived at all.

At the time of birth, the baby (a boy) had some breathing distress for a moment... but that was it.

And when the Doctors tested his blood, there were zero signs of methamphetamine present there... which is an *impossibility*.

Today he's 28 yrs old & healthy, & never had a complication despite his meth-bathed gestation.

In the mid 1970's my mom was supposed to be days away from a death from terminal cancer. The cobalt radiation treatments had failed. She then had a spontaneous remission that baffled every one of her doctors. One day after the good news, she kept pressing my dad for the name of the priest that had come to visit her. She told him that when he took her hand in prayer she felt an odd surge of energy in her body. Funny thing was, no priest had ever come to visit her during her stay. My Pop was pretty much with her 24/7 at the time, and was adamant no one from the church had come to see her. He had not yet called them for last rights. More than one of her doctors eventually referred to her remission as a miracle.

When I was old enough to really talk to her about what happened, I knew she believed that her being spared from death at that point in her life was a gift from God. The disease eventually returned and took her, but not until I was grown and on my own.

I haven't witnessed one yet but could sure use some prayers for my little boy. He's had stomach problems for 3 months now. In the hospital right now again. Looks like they found something a possible mass in the ultrasound. I know nobody here knows me but if you can spare a minute and send out a prayer for my little man Richard, it would mean more to me than you can imagine. Should know more tomorrow. thanks

These news stories crucify me..; These people are well known drug dealers.; and the man who shot me just got out of prison for drug charges, hes a felon.. hes not supposed to have a gun. My charges are still pending, all I want is a chance to better myself and theyre trying to give me a D40 {a determinate sentence of 40 years} im just 16.. I wasn't even the one demanding the money.. how could one do the actions I was accused of on 12 xanax bars? theres no possible way, me getting out of this will be a miracle, and I pray to god to help me get through this. He had the right to shoot me, but it wasn't morally justified. There was no sign of forced entry.. Drugs were taken from the other suspect who left me to die.. none of this was mentioned. Fuck the news, all of this is bullshit. They want the other guy, im not the one. Who goes BACK to their room to retrieve a weapon? I call bullshit, I got shot while staring at a wall thats how the bullet traveled the way it did, i was sideways.. i didnt point a weapon at anybody

Should know more tomorrow. thanks

Well this isn't a miracle ---- I dont know what it is -- and just posting it --- is asking to be laughed at.....

But I promise this is no bull ---

Last night, in the dead middle of the night --- my lamp on my nightstand turned ON all BY ITSELF and lit up the entire bedroom.

I was pretty scared for a few hours. Actually today, it is still kind of haunting me.

Can somebody please give me some logical reasoning why this would happen?

i've decided to turn my life around and do something different.

Make that your goal & forget the semantics of who did what & why in your past drama... even if you have circumstances you have to face.

gasp

It "lit up the entire bedroom" more than it normally would (as if turning itself on wasn't enough)?

Creepy!

No I won't exaggerate that it was brighter then usual. IT WAS CREEPY. When it is pitch dark and the light suddenly comes on for NO REASON --- It does seem brighter!!!!!!! and BLINDING----

why would it have done that?????

but that happend to me too, not too long ago even !

But there was a storm outside when that happened, when I told it to other people they all agreed that it was the electricity in the air produced by the storm

that is a good theory! We didnt have any storms though. so back at square one. I am glad I am not the only one it happened to. It wasn't a good feeling either -- being suddenly awoken, and everything is bright and you can't see, and your heart is racing -- cuz you are like WTF is going on? Am I dreaming?
