How To Make A Survival Walking Stick

I'm working on a survival walking stick and I believe I have come up with a way for me to do it. I bought some of the parts today and it will definitely work. I just have to modify and customize it to my needs.

Here is what you do if you are interested:

You wanna buy Schedule 20 PVC Piping (the thick gray pipe). The pipe is about 3/16" thick (pretty sturdy and more heavy than the white pipe you might ordinarily think of).
It will depend on what length of sections you desire, but you want to get the threaded pipe.
I am using the 1" pipe (the inside diameter is about 7/8"). You simply buy the threaded pipe section you want and buy the 1" couplers. Then buy a 1"x25/32"x1" #4 Rubber Stopper for every section you wish to close off at one end. Place the Rubber Stopper in one end of the pipe. Leave the other end open so that you can unscrew the pipe from the coupler to stash things in such as maps or small survival gear. Also, use plumber's cement to fasten one end of the coupler to the end of the pipe that has the rubber stopper in it.
Once you have decided the exact length of survival walking stick you want and bought all the parts, now purchase a cap and a plug. Place the cap on the top and place the plug on the bottom. Now find a Rubber Stopper that fits in the plug hole on the bottom.
You now have a sectional Survival Walking Stick that is sturdy, is able to float, is waterproof, and that can have items placed in it for your use.
If you want, you can leave a Rubber Stopper out somewhere and have a section that is 25" long - 2 12" pipes and a coupler (for wide maps). You can also buy smaller sections to store smaller items in.
You can place maps, food, a fishing rod, etc. in the sectional stick.

To get you started (so you can desgin your own) go out and buy 2 - 1"x12" threaded pipes, 1 - 1" coupler, and 1 - 1"x25/32"x1" #4 Rubber Stopper (remember you want Schedule 20 PVC). See how it all fits together and then design one for your own needs.
