Whats the difference between the FBI and the CIA?

CIA is the brain, the other is the brawn. :anim:

Basically, FBI is domestic and CIA foreign. FBI also applies to our embassies abroad as that is considered U.S. soil.

CIA deals with foreign situations.


Very short version.

FBI is local, they investigate crime, CIA is global and gathers info...about as basic as I can put it.

In theory:

FBI works internal to the US only

CIA works outside the US only.

The reality is they both do as they please, no matter the law and if you don't like it, federal jail for you.
