Should he be forced to spend a certain amount? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 873917I think you are missing the point, but I'm not surprised considering we live in such a greedy society. |

The Monk User ID: 515245 United States 01/25/2010 06:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Diddy's Son Gets A $360,000 Car for His Sixteenth Birthday Quoting: Disgusting 633240Thanks to his dad, hip-hop mogul and businessman Sean "Diddy" Combs, now Justin Dior Combs is the proud owner of a $360,000 luxury sedan. In addition to the wheels, Diddy gave his son a check for $10,000, which Justin immediately donated to Wyclef Jean's charity Yele Haiti. And since the teenager doesn't yet drive or have a license, Diddy provided him with a uniformed driver to escort the teen and his friends around Manhattan. [link to omg.yahoo.com] OMG. If my middle name was Dior I would probably shoot myself. |

Think it's pretty great the kid made a donation at all! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 773494 United States 01/25/2010 06:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, I see your point. Even if you can afford a $5,000 purse or pair of shoes, why would you waste that much money on them? I'm not one to quote scripture but I think it is Luke 12:48 which says that "to those to whom much has been given, much is expected" -- also a famous JFK quote. You see this all the time with these suddenly wealthy music/sports/movie star types. They make millions and throw it around on stupid stuff (like a $360,000 car for a 16-year-old who will likely wreck it in a month) and then give little of their self doing good deeds. I'm not sure disgusting is necessarily the right term...it's more sad. |
