Quoting: Anonymous Coward 859884Saints are very good, but one errant pass, or one bad call can change any game. Know what I mean? The Saints are a better team than the Colts. The only way the Colts would have won was if the Saints threw the game or the refs helped out Manning like they had done all season. The Colts really should have been a 10-6 team or 12-4 at best. |
skink User ID: 888039 United States 02/11/2010 04:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Peyton Manning threw the interception to the same whodat Saints player that Brett Favre threw the interception to end the NFC Championship game. That's gonna go down in conspiracy lore. You got two QB's who make questionable passes to end critical games, and they both made them to the same player. The fix was in, and in the case of that New Orleans receiver of both those passes, the NFL killed to birds with one stone. On the other hand, it mighta been just a good defensive play. Dunno. |

A babe before walking will first stumble and fall many times but NEVER gives up until he succeeds. Always remember, ultimately, to never follow any person's belief. Your relationship with God is between you and God. If nothing else, remember this: religion = subservience, control and conformity, the same template as EVERY government "Most believers would kill truth if truth threatened their religion." L. K. Washburn "This crime called blasphemy was invented by priests for the purpose of defending doctrines not able to take care of themselves." Robert Ingersoll "If anyone wants to know how God feels, it's a warm light as if the sun is poking through dark clouds and lifting your spirits with pure joy." |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 870554 United States 02/11/2010 05:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | People were saying the same thing last year when the Steelers won. But if that game was rigged in favor of the Steelers, why did the refs call holding for a safety against the Steelers, and then call holding on their next series to make it 3rd and long, after going down to the Cards with just a couple minutes on the clock? Holding happens on EVERY play, so why call it two times in a row at the end of the game against the team that is supposedly being "helped" to win. I think the Colts got beat. Clean game, Peyton was over-confident and got his ass beat. |

I tend to believe it ... but prove it, poster ... or at least give some evidence. My thoughts are that wherever massive amounts of money are involved, there just has to be corruption ... I felt all along that "somebody" wanted the the Saints to go to the Superbowl and win, for whatever reason .. Brett Favre's ending play in the previous week's playoff game was almost too much to swallow. He could have easily run ten yards (and run out of bounds without getting hit), and the Vikings would have had a fairly easy field goal to win the game in overtime. It was all very bizarre ... not to mention all of the uncharacteristic fumbles and turnovers the Vikings had in that game. I think it's all bullshit ... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 854371 United States 02/11/2010 07:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This makes a lot of sense to me. It was the first time Manning has ever thrown a crucial interception that late in a Playoff game, and it felt so bizarre, unnatural, and "off" to me. Jim Caldwell coached a bizarrely conservative and poor game for the Colts. The Colts played their worst game of the year, and it seemed to be a really odd game. The odds of recovering an onside kick are less than 26%, and it had never happened in a Super Bowl previous to the 4th quarter. 2 weeks earlier, Brett Favre throws the crucial interception at the end. And, the Vikings had 5 TURNOVERS in that game! They didn't have more than 3 turnovers in any of their previous 17 games. Hmmmmmmm......Something feels really fishy about this. A lot of things happenening that are complete anomalies. It is naive to think that these big games aren't fixed. Too much money involved and these franchise owners are balls deep into the Illuminati. |

I think that threw his rhythm off. It's prety obvious the referee's are in his back pocket, except for the Superbowl. I'm in Houston and an Texan fan and every time the Colts play us, we get a PI call every time he throws the ball on 2nd and 3rd down. I think the first game we played them this season there where like 11 PI calls against us. |

That look like "maybe I will, maybe I won't. you scared?" I thought the exact same thing! Every time the camera showed him on the bench during the first half when they were very much in control, he looked pissed off about something. Then he throws a fairly surprising interception at a critical point in the game. As good as he can read defenses, no way he throws that ball to that receiver. All about money. |

And I can honestly tell you that the reason why the Colts didn't win was strictly due to the fact that there were no pass interference calls called last Sunday. This team has thrived on these calls, not only this season, but over the past 4-5 years! This year was probably one of the worst years, henceforth the undefeated season up until week 15. Polian obviously was planting a seed with the competition committee, because he knew the stars would align one day. Come to think of it, maybe I'm not a Colts fan anymore." |
