HOUSTON, Texas — Heat across the area is unbearable to say the least. Temperatures are around 100 degrees Fahrenheit with no relief in the near future.

Anyone from here? How is it when you walk outside? Does it feel like you can swim in the sky?

You gave the idea for a story! Thanks. I can't see the entire nation but if someone living in an area mentions their weather like you did I'll look ahead and do a story / forecast on it.

Thanks again!

Re: Houston TX: Terrible heat to continue for the next several days
Weather wars? No chemtrails for the most part??

We can't trust our government for the truth about anything.

The BP oil spill seems far from over, but my attention span is gone after my heart broke over all that BS.

Should be an interesting fall if the trend continues, and here in the Midwest I expect another relatively cold winter.

Time will tell...)

Re: Houston TX: Terrible heat to continue for the next several days
I'm just south of Houston and it's a b**ch out there. Got the air conditioner running full steam and its showing 88 in here right now. I was just saying earlier this is one of the hotter days we have had and I been here 20 yrs, but then again probably say that ever year. Anyway it's hot and you saying its going to last several more days isn't something I wanted to see. Its summer time in Texas so it's not really surprising.

Because its much hotter than usual I think we will be in for busy September hurricane activity. It's around that time when Texas gets their share of storms, hope I'm wrong.

Samson, you are right. September is when the Hurricanes try to "undercut" the Atlantic ridge.

This is where they come under Southern Florida, or Cuba and hit the Gulf. I don't see that in the long term (1-2 weeks) so it should be fine for now.

Good thing about Hurricanes is they are seen for days before they come.

It is 100F outside right now where I am in Southern California. In fact, the AC is broken in here and it is 95 in the house.

102 here in Austin, but its the first time we've climbed that high all year, not bad for the tail end of summer!
