This thread is interesting to me. After a few years of being a SAHM, I am back out in the world and although my husband is supportive, he takes a lot of credit for my success.
I have started my own business that has really taken off, and he takes the credit when someone gives me a pat on the back. It's kind of amusing, because he gets called on it and gets upset...
Being a SAHM when my children are in school all day, is not for me.

I've never understood why people have to do stuff like this...instead of it causing jealousy, or insecurity, they should be PROUD of you for what you are contributing!

I had an incident like this with my sign partner.
We were a couple...and when we first met, and started the business, it was great.
I apprenticed under her to really learn the sign industry, and I brought my award winning fine art skills with me, to add to the signs.
Everything was great for about 5 years....then when I was just as capable a sign person as she was, and I was getting write ups in the paper about my signs/murals with the awesome artwork, had people driving across state to get me to paint their signs, developed my own client base that just wanted me to do the work.....her ego got the best of her.
She started taking credit for my work!
When I'd call her on it infront of others, she would just shut her mouth....but it would happen again.
It finally got to the point where she was so jealous/intimidated, that every time I'd go to the shop to work, she'd start a huge fight with me, making it impossible for me to work.
She should have been happy....that she taught me so well!
That was a huge accomplishment!!!
She had her own strengths that were important to the overall well being of the business.
She was a Hell of a salesperson!
The woman could truly sell ice cubes to eskimos, and leave them smiling and happy about it!
Together, we made an awesome team, that had so much work, we couldn't do it all.
It has always made me sad that EGO got in the way, and destroyed something so good.
