Yes I watch all Japanese 3D animation. No complaints there, they don't cater for the stupid baby making turds.

Advent children IS for children, while most Pixar and Dreamworks movies have two layers of meaning in them, one for the children, and one for the adults.

Not our fault if you get stuck at the first layer :P


You call them "movies for babies" because there isn't enough violence and stupid matrix-like action scenes for you. One day you'll go past that preconception and you'll even be able to read books without images!

the first 3d movie i ever saw was jaws 3d.

that was pretty bad ass as a kid.

but yeah..the cheesy pixar family crap in 3d is lame.

this American 3D fight scene from Animatrix is looking a little old now but in its time it was proper astonishing!

Shrek was another good example of a 'film preaching to two audiences', with visual gags for the kiddies and adult word-narrative-play for their parents.

But I see where OP's going. Maybe OP should play more 3rd person war simulators, the west does thousands of those per year.

Op is right I,ve thought the same thing for years, 3d cgi is only really limited by the imagination there are so many possibilities. I think part of the problem is the lack of imagination and the perceived stigma that animation is for kids. So animation studios tend to just make what they think will sell and make alot of money, safe bets much like the majority of hollywood films.

I thought Fire and Ice & Heavy Metal were american made,....
