Methinks that the heads of TSA and DHS and all involved minions should swing by their necks from a rope, just like Saddam. After a fair and open trial, by jury of their flight passenger peers, of course. |

Quoting: Michelle Jerkoff 1166597Methinks that the heads of TSA and DHS and all involved minions should swing by their necks from a rope, just like Saddam. After a fair and open trial, by jury of their flight passenger peers, of course. I have never seen such an outcry in the 62 years I've been in this country. And I've never seen such arrogance on the part of any governmental organization in the U.S. that has totally disregarded all standing laws that pertain to searching people. No police officer has the right to stop and search anyone in this abusive fashion. No court of law is allowed to do what the TSA is now doing to ordinary innocent Americans. Neither is the FBI or ANY other government agency. And one of the most serious offenses being committed is the TSA's assault on the tourist industry including business owners, employees and people who own property (such as their homes) in areas where there are tourist attractions. Jesse Ventura has said that between 2006 and 2009, international tourism to the U.S. was down by 30%. The TSA's horrifying tactics may cause a 60% to 70% drop in international tourism (or more). I know for certain that I will NOT fly on any commercial airplane while these horrific tactics are employed by the TSA. Jesse Ventura has said the same thing and I'm sure there will be many people like me, especially those in a foreign country who have plenty of other places to go on vacation or to do business. And last but not least, the United States is NOT in a financial position to give up this loss of revenue. Some of you may remember what happened after the air traffic controllers went on strike in 1981. Air travel plummeted because the travelling public felt it was unsafe to fly. As a result, the country went into the longest and deepest recession since the end of WWII (the Dow Jones went down to 740). The U.S. National Debt is now $13.7 TRILLION* and congress is debating whether to extend the 99 week unemployment benefits another 13 weeks. The U.S. isn't in a position to pay this money back, and this latest outrage by the TSA will make things a lot worse. * [link to www.poodwaddle.com] (click "more") And as a footnote, I would like to mention that I worked in the cargo and loading areas of Kennedy Airport in NYC for more than six years. And I can state without a doubt that ANYONE working in those areas could put ANYTHING on an airplane. The TSA's radiation machines, strip searches and trauma-causing child abuse and molestation is useless unless the very same procedures are employed to the tousands upon thousands of people who work in these areas. The TSA's radiation/full body naked cameras and their horrific invasion of civil liberties is the most horrific thing I have ever experienced in my 62 year life. It has to change, and I am certain that the people of this country will see to it that it will change. |
