Flock Of Dead Birds In Tennessee
Add Middle Tennessee to the list of places where flocks of birds have shown up dead. Earlier in the week, birds were found dead in Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky and Texas.

Now, more that 100 dead birds were recently found in Wilson County, causing the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency to investigate.

A resident notified the agency Tuesday afternoon after he spotted dozens of dead birds along Highway 70 north in Lebanon a few days ago.

If the public sees a large number of dead birds, like 30 to 50, call the TWRA at 615-781-6622 as soon as possible. The quicker they are notified, the earlier they can check and test the birds to learn why they are dying.

There aren't any large bodies of water near the area the dead birds were found.

This is different from the other reports.

What's weird is in W TN, there are no birds except a few sparrows once and a while. I have been looking for dead birds here for 3 days. I can't find any live ones either.

I live in the woods and it is common to see them this time of the year as they fly back and forth depending on the weather.

A poster yesterday was pointing out that if its GOM related the Mississippi river feeds into rivers in Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas etc.

Said to watch for something in TN and other states fed by Mississippi....

Well now we have TN a day later.

the current in the Mississippi is known as being strong and dangerous and the river flows south "to" the GOM not the other way around

Re: Flock Of Dead Birds In Tennessee
Here is the original post...

Anybody notice that the eastern states that are affected are all connected by the Mississippi River? It starts in Louisiana at the Gulf of Mexico. It travels straight into Arkansa then up to Kentucky. If my eyes are right looking at this map then the Mississippi River turns into the Ohio River continuing north which runs in between Indiana and Kentucky.

I think we should also be paying attention to the other states surrounding that immediate area like Mississippi, Tennessee, Illinois and Ohio just in case they might be affected also.

On the west coast we have Arizona which sort of puzzled me, but I did notice that both affected areas are surrounded by mountains. I couldn't see an immediate connection at first, but when I put my two hands on the two areas the thought that came to mind was there must be an underlying squeeze going on underneath those immediate areas. If there is a squeeze then you just look in the middle of that area and you see Yellowstone Park.

Now I don't know if the jet stream is really slowing down or not. It's the Earth's radiator. Could be a factor, but I see seismic activity as a prime suspect. It can set of compasses just like in Bermuda. It can release methane gases that can kill a flock of birds. Can it also cause enough confusion for the birds to fly themselves to death? Especially if they are flying in the wrong direction, it is a really good clue. Has anyone pulled the latest seismic activity linked to Yellowstone Park?

Is the Mississippi on a fault line? I guess I could check these things myself, but I am still ever so curious about the link to the Gulf of Mexico.

Funny but this stuff, reminds me of the Movie "The Stand" a post-apocalyptic horror/fantasy novel by American author Stephen King.

Re: Flock Of Dead Birds In Tennessee
I'm in North Carolina and last week during our big snowstorm, we had a flock of black birds swarm our house flying around it one way and then another. My kids were out snowsledding when this happened.

Not long after, they came in and casually mentioned that they saw three or four of the birds nose dive to the ground. The birds fell in some thick brush so my kids couldn't confirm that they died but they described them falling straight to the ground. That seemed strange then but now that this is happening all over, it REALLY concerns me!

Also, what I thought was MOST interesting at the time (before my kids said they saw some nosedive to the ground, of course) was that the birds would be flying in "panic mode" (with no discernable sense of direction) IN THE MIDDLE OF A BLIZZARD! I've never seen birds flying around in blinding snow!

WHAT IS GOING ON?!
