Had that continued, it would have supplanted "Federal Reserve Notes" and put the Federal Reserve (which is neither) out of business in the U.S. It was rescinded immediately after his assassination. If such Constitutional money was put in effect again, certainly the price of silver would rise exponentially. It seems "the powers that be" just couldn't let that happen!
