We draw the line at "consenting adults". Is that really so hard to grasp? Why can't a man have has many wives and concubines as he can afford to support? Why can't a woman have as many husbands and consorts as she can afford to support? Why should anyone's "religious belief" be bound to others of other "faiths" and "belief" systems?

It's not religious and it's not about consenting...it is simply about the State recognizing marriage, and marriage IS:One Man and One woman...anything else starts us down the slippery slope...

I personally think the definition of marriage should be between two consenting ADULTS....Regardless of gender.

If that is what makes two people happy, and those people share a strong bond and immense love for one another, who are they hurting?? NO one!

And lets face it, the world is overpopulated. Most same sex couple adopt children that are unwanted in other parts of the world, or even our own country. Those children often have everything they need and are loved very much. Those children grow up to be tolerant and accepting of everyone, which is how it should be in the world, but sadly isn't.

In my eyes, they are doing a lot of good in the world.

Well HETEROSEXUALS should have thought of that before THEY decided to throw out the "sanctity of marriage", and "until death us do part", by fornicating and co-habitating BEFORE "marriage" and not wanting the law to do anything about it. Then HETEROSEXUALS started cheating on their spouses and divorcing and remarrying before the ex was dead.
Then HETEROSEXUALS started using birth-control and getting abortions.

The STATE has no business defining "marriage" as between one man and one woman. That is respecting the christian religion and disrespecting judaism and islam, and pagans, and atheists, etc

I'm not so sure on the overpopulation thing, given they wanna depopulate us anyway, but I don't think the world is gonna collapse either because a few select people choose to be with someone of their own gender. Babies are still gonna be born, men and women will still marry and populate regardless. It's not like everyone is gonna become suddenly gay or anything like that.

To go even further with this, I would also like to make the point that.....the way homosexuality is portrayed in media is far from how I'd think a typical gay man or lesbian woman would want their relationships represented. It's much like how heterosexual relationships are shown, do you guys like how it is portrayed? Somehow I kinda doubt it, so what makes you think homosexuals are any different in this end?

Firstly on the man marrying a child argument, that is ENTIRELY different and FAR from consensual. You're using an extreme case to base your prejudices on. That's number one, number two as to where our morals come from? How about simple common sense? Is that so hard of a concept to grasp? If you're hurting someone else in your actions, then more than likely something is wrong with what you are doing. No religious belief system needed to figure that one out is there?

Lastly, what if those kids have no other options? Would rather they have no parents at all to guide them? And who says the child they raise is gonna be automatically gay??
