OP, we live in a holographic universe. Our memories are also stored in our DNA and within the Akasha.

Thought creates matter, not the other way around.

Read some research papers some time back and they recon your cells carry memories aswell. That is why some people who recieve organ donors have memories of the dead donor.

Your memory is stored in your non physical mind, not your brain. If your brain is mucked up, then it can't serve as the tool of your mind. Your soul IS your mind in fact. And your mind survives death. It is the YOU. Not the brain or body.

The Christian type heaven is NOT understood. It is earned before you can go there, but nevertheless your mind survives you. Heaven is a series of specially constructed spheres (BUILT) not evolutionary like this sphere. YOu cannot go the the lowest of those until you have reached a certain level of spiritual attainment, generally speaking. Although some are taken to the lower ones on a space available basis at interims. You are given a new body there.

In fact when you pass this plain you look like you did during this life, because your mind includes that part of your mind that runs your body, and thus a spiritual form made out of electrons will look like you for this reason.

Your mind is non physical completely, but you store your knowledge, as an animal being on electrons, and each electron can hold 3 gigs of information. YOu eventually as you clear karma build a light body of photons, and photons store much more than the electron does.

The brain being non-local in functionality simply means that all areas of the brain can ultimately perform the same function of processing and retrieval. Lobotomies ultimately fail for this reason.

The brain is part of an interface called the physical human vehicle. It's not the doer or the controller in and of itself. Even if you are a programmed robot wherein the robot is not SELF-conscious of being anything other a robot, like a computer is, 'memory' and 'hard drive' only retrieve and process what something else accesses and programs it to be able to access. If you think you ARE a 'brain' or that your memory is stored in the physical brain, then this won't make any sense to you.

What is cloud-like is you, the user of the vehicle - the user of the brain.

For instance, the drive to eliminate computer hard drives where access and retieval is removed to a 'cloud' simply means that the tools of access and retrieval will be removed from your local, computer interface and controlled by someone else, someplace else.

Ok, so the brain is non local in that it is a "cloud" receiver accessing a network, somewhere "out there" - this is where I am leaning towards, hence the brain dead NDE patient, manages to review their sensory experience memories.

About the soul: What if it is stored inside a really finely tuned computer and are just here to be abused until we die.
