Understand animal husbandry and the different uses farm animals might have.

The "hillbilly's" will be the best off of all of us. They've got guns, dogs, chickens, and usually pigs and cows, too.

Plus, while they'll beat each other senseless over a penny or a skirt, they'll band together faster than you can say "pig 'n whistle" and kill anybody who looks sideways at the person they just whomped on.

They'll put out bear traps and fishing hooks dangling from trees and strapped up with duct tape to harm the unwary intruder. And that's the least of it.

Oh no, they won't be feeling it nearly as soon as the towns will.

They'll be eating high on the hog for quite some time after others are starved and killing each other, because it's already their nature to have gardens and hens and dogs and guns and go hunting.
