Anonymous Coward User ID: 1337441 United States 05/29/2011 06:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Despite lag time and fairly frequent periods offline, especially on weekends, the EPA site has been offering readings which I am assuming are accurate since they are 5 to 20 times higher than reported by any of the independent monitors or those on here. We have had 100 - 200 cpm for weeks an a regular basis according to their data, so they aren't hiding it, just providing it a bit late for protecting oneself from the spikes. Quoting: Relative deviancePlease post the link that shows EPA readings; I haven't been able to find much at all. I heard that they were monitoring only about 3 places now or at least that's all they are admitting to. Would really like some info for my area. SE Texas. Thanks! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1389593 United States 06/05/2011 12:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Take a look at these radiation reading from the EPA on May 25, 2011: [link to www.epa.gov] They show a flat line from May 21st to May 26th. Then watch these homemade YouTube videos showing high radiation readings: [link to www.youtube.com] [link to www.youtube.com] Those fucking EPA sons of bitches are covering up the radiation fallout on Saint Louis! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1389593The gap is curious, but not necessarily nefarious. But, the point is well taken. The EPA has bailed out on any meaningful reporting of their measurements. The stuff that really matters is the bio-accumulation of radio-active iodine and strontium in products like milk, cheese, and other animal products especially. They will now report only every 90 days which is total lunacy under the present circumstances; and it has the smell of cover-up. I need to repeat the following every few weeks on this thread. The numbers I've been reporting have not indicated any unusual danger from radiation. That DOES NOT mean that danger does not exist. The real danger is from bio-accumulation of alpha-emitters like cesium and iodine and strontium that my humble equipment cannot detect. It takes measurements from more sophisticated equipment, like the EPA has but won't report. Do not assume that 'normal' readings that I post mean that things are normal. They are not, and real issues remain outside of what I can measure. |

We're in the midst of sandstorms in the past hour, followed by some rain approaching, maybe. Just had the most violent sandstorm I've seen in 15 years of living in the desert. Stirred up a lot of dust. Couldn't see out the patio door. My patio is now under 1/16" of talcum-like dirt. Can't see the bottom of the swimming pool. (Guess you'd have to live here to get it.) |
