has the food shortage begun??

now, i'm not saying that its like this everywhere, but am concerned that this may be the beginning of the much talked of food shortages....

local walmart...

safeway has iceberg lettuce for at least $2.50 a head, with a similar sign noting that due to the weather lettuce has become limited which is the reason for the hefty price...and probability of running out quickly. :(

i live in sacramento, ca. by the way.
anyone else seeing this in stores?
