 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 998009

Dude I am not depressed. I am actually content and looking forward to moving to CO. I just want to be prepared. If I become depressed it is because those Fucken japanese nuke engineers fucked up my plan to live there. I Wonder which part of Co would be best to move to?

Hello, I've never been to America; but I did once dream I was living in Denver (and it was destroyed), so that's close enough.

Now, how about that football, eh? What do you think of Arsenal's new transfer?

Anyone else see that UFO last week?

Came down like a meteor bright white and fiery. It was really moving fast. It came from the south and i watched it fall for about 3 seconds, then it pulled out of the dive and headed North. It then changed from white to red and split into 3 parts forming a triangle.

We should! Boulder would be a completely appropriate gathering place for the Colorado based inmates of this asylum!!!

Yes!!! My Wife and I stepped onto the deck to have a smoke and I saw it going from west to east just south of us.

It looked to us to be a very large meteorite, but it was at a very low altitude and disappeared behind the trees before we saw it hit or land or whatever.
But, yes I did see it!

Re: Colorado!
what is Colorado Springs like? :)

never been but looks like a good place to live
 Quoting: hillcrest3

If your into military, religion and overall stupid people its probably for you. Beautiful area. Lame people. Castle rock or north especially if you are a cali girl.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1165535

Honestly, CoS is kind of a hole. The city itself. There's not much going on culturally and it's just not a pretty city. Its backdrop is amazing, though.

Go up a little bit into the mountains (about 15 minutes) and you get Woodland Park, which is a super cute small mountain town. Lots of Cali transplants there.

If you think you might want to move here, I disagree on the Castle Rock/North call. Go to the west side of the Springs, Old Colorado City or Manitou Springs, for real people and lots more culture and interesting stuff to do.

It's an odd city, though. Hardcore ilitary/Religious on one side, and hippie/pagan/amalgamation on the other side.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1313033

Co Spgs here.

Your description sums it up reasonably well. I lived in Boulder nine years before moving to the Springs and the culture shock was almost too much for me to handle. Then I discovered Manitou and all was good again.

Like anyplace, you're going to find a variety of personalities and character types. We don't have a monopoly on lame people although from my perspective, I avoid the north end of town because that seems to be where most of the bibletards hang out (Focus on the Family, ugh). Unfortunately, I work on this end of town (Briargate) and as I type these words, I can gaze out the window and see the FotF bookstore.

The southwest part of town is where I choose to live. I'm in the foothills and close to Broadmoor, Manitou, and Old Colorado City.
