This is adding to another comment:

One of the BIGGEST problems I had is that there is 100% no way to tell if you've chosen the valid religion. Every religion tells you there are eternal consequences for not putting faith into it - yet none provide any solid evidence.

Most importantly, if I chose Christianity, what if Judaism is correct? I'll burn forever if I'm wrong. But that's not my fault... I wasn't given any reasonable evidence to pick. It'd only make sense that I'd be wrong.

Seems like a giant catch-22. xD

I heard that you can save a bunch of money on your car insurance by switching to Bongo, and that the only real consequences for not believing is an eternity of eating cold asparagus...

It isn't suppose to be easy. Only you know your truth and that truth only pertains to you, not the rest of the world. Anyone leading you around by hand, isn't doing you any favors. All religions and spiritual beliefs have validity to someone. They are all interpretations by humans. bunch of sources at mamhere.com religious, channeling, spiritual, and more. take your pick, Free hope for anyone. Get your truck and haul a load of hope home.

Do you know how the bible was written? No, you don't. It was written over hundreds of years, most of it comes from oral traditions and stories that were eventually written down.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1182180

Actually, I do know how it was written, and you do not.

It was ripped off from other documents!

All the Psalms are from other documents. They're about pagan gods, and were stolen and put into the bible as if they were owned by the collators of the bible.

The Epic of Gilgamesh became the story of Noah (which is not even the original name!).

It's well known by scholars that Matthew didn't write Matthew. Mark didn't write Mark. Etc. and et. al.

Furthermore, Saul-who-changed-his-name-to-Paul was a major fraud. He totally contradicts Jesus all over the place, and people take Paul's words over Jesus because they're more palatable!

The bible is a PROPAGANDA TOOL. When the walls of Jericho fell inwards, they claimed their God did it. What's that? Nowdays, we would call that what it actually is: PROPAGANDA.

If I wrote a book today that said I prophesied 9-11 and it was done by my God... and 5k years from now they found proof of the twin towers, and found my book... they would had little reason to believe otherwise, especially if I conveniently dated it prior to 9-11.

So the Jews write a book claiming their god is responsible for everything, and that all of their multitudes of genocides were "commanded by god" and 2k years later, you are all eating it up.

PROPAGANDA SUCCESS!

Anyone is free to doubt or reject Christ as God or part of the Trinity that Christians believe. You are not free to reject a man name Jesus Christ was born, lived and was executed on orders of Pontius Pilate who was the fifth Prefect of the Roman province of Judaea, from 26–36 AD. There is more than enough written evidence outside the New Testament to document that Christ did in fact walk the earth. The question of his divinity cannot be proved or disproved. The site you suggest we visit is a hack piece of false assumptions and either lies or ignorance. The confusion of man's actions using the name of Christ to commit all sorts crimes can never be confused with that which is Christ.

This is true, but it's nice to keep in mind that history is almost always second hand. My friend, a bio-tech engineer, gave me this interesting speech once.

He said, "I can't trust history 100%, whereas I trust mathematics 100%. If I needed to prove Pi, I could draw a circle and work it out right in front of you at any time. I can't do that with history. I'm not saying since it can't be directly proven it must be false. Just bear in mind that it actually possesses a possibility of being incorrect more so than mathematics."

Another interesting lecture was, "There's a stop sign at the end of my street".

It's similar, but different. For example, I could tell you there is a stop sign at the end of my street. However this doesn't mean that it is there. While I was gone, it could have been removed. Simple stuff like that.

The Bible has never supported such an idea, that the lost will suffer forever. This is the invention of the Roman Catholic system which is clearly described in Daniel & Revelation as the antichrist power.

"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Revelation 20:14. The lake of fire is a once-and-for-all destruction of sin, satan and his demons, and the wicked. It is what the Bible describes, a second death; a final death from which there is no return. Once you burn up, that's it, you are perished forever. No eternal suffering or burning in a place called hell. God is not of such a character as the Papacy makes Him out to be.

"Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?" Ezekiel 33:11

First you must learn the difference between an Israelite and a Jew (Judah). The bible says they are now different than any other human being. Its just that God chose them to reveal to the world his his laws, statutes etc so that God could use them to draw many to him. Actually God call them a stiffneck and gainsaying people who failed miserably at the task. So God chose a people who were not called his people to be his people by his Son Jesus who is the Christ. Not it is written " he that is a Jew is not one outwardly (or descended by heredity through Abraham) but he that is a Jew is one inwardly by faith in Jesus the Christ. So circumcision is also not outward but circumcision is of the heart. It is the heart God wants not your religion traditions and works for it is written again He came to his own (Jews)and his own received him not but as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the son's (children)of God, even to them that (simply) believed on his name. religion and bondage is of man. Salvation, life liberty and freedom is of God through his Son Jesus...who is the Christ.

Well, you don't choose Jesus, or find Jesus, He choses you.

No one has a choice in this.

But, you can't really "know" or "affirm" that he did these things. Just because the Bible says so doesn't make it true. I could write a book on inverted spheres made of monkey wrenches and Gatorade - doesn't make it real!
