[link to www.skyscrapercity.com] The diffence between India and China, is in China, you have a billion billion prisioners, all bowing thier heads to the might of Communism. In India , we are FREE. A democracy. You may laugh at the concept of democracy , but whatever, we here in India are proud that we are an independent people. Quoting: KrishnaActually we love you too. And I personally have American friends are by far fantastic people. But there are people out there, prejudiced, who cannot fathom the meaning of the word COMPLEX. They take the easy way out , and look at the surface negatives. I have no respect for those people who here on GLP call India as the land of filth. You are narrow minded, self-centered, lazy, and lack any kind of light in your dim , dark, crappy worlds. You let your countrymen do all the hard work, while all you do is drug yourself out, or spend the time watching tv . (I'm male, mid-40's, and live and work in India as a designer. It ain't good for hygiene plus it will stop the tourism industry, if things carry on as it is. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1410530My point: ITS NOT EASY . THERE ARE FACTORS> Can you Mr. UK, get rid of all those Big Bro cameras that watch even how you piss in the UK? No? WHY? ITs not easy right UK is the first fully done-in police state-country in the world. Perhaps there is a deep reason why the people in India find it difficult to deal with the dirty side of the country? (I'm male, mid-40's, and live and work in India as a designer. STYLIE User ID: 1300453 United States 06/04/2011 12:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sadly here in America our Native Languages are facing Extinction. Thankfully a movement to record these languages to archive, while trying to start programs to teach the youth of the surviving tribes to speak their native tongues has began to gain momentum. [link to en.wikipedia.org] "There are approximately 296 spoken (or formerly spoken) indigenous languages north of Mexico, 269 of which are grouped into 29 families" Now... That's just the Native Americans. Sadly Manifest Destiny [link to en.wikipedia.org] has wiped out the use of most of these via Genocide. Now I immediately notice that a large group of languages spoken on the northern borders are due to migration and immigration patterns, spawning "Mixed Dialects" not unlike those that have risen in Africa. One of the more widely used and known being Swahili [link to en.wikipedia.org] "Swahili is a Bantu language that serves as a second language to various groups traditionally inhabiting parts of the East African coast. Some Swahili vocabulary is derived from Arabic through more than twelve centuries of contact with Arabic-speaking inhabitants of the coast of Zanj. It also has incorporated Persian, German, Portuguese, English and French words into its vocabulary through contact during the last five centuries. Swahili has become a second language spoken by tens of millions in three countries," I'll continue in another post... |
