Could it of been the ISS?....that's what it looks like here when it passes over?

It could well have been, I live just down the road from the Op and the last time I saw the iss was just a few days ago and I forget the time but the time before it was at about 11pm which was a few weeks earlier.

Rubbish! You're obviously not watching the skies much.

There are a huge number of sats with highly inclined orbits, mainly weather or telecoms. Take a look on heavens-above.com and get an idea of how many are actually up there.

I'm an amateur astronomer, and out regularly when it's clear, and I hardly go more than 10 or 15 minutes without spotting a satellite tracking across the sky, very often in a northerly or southerly direction. (I'm also up in Perthshire, so seeing the same skies as you...)

Check out Iridium flares if you want to freak people out. An easy trick is to look up flare times, and then say to people, "Hey, just watch that patch of sky for a little, you might see something cool". Usually gets a great reaction... cool2

Whats your take on ELENIN?
 Quoting: sway

Elenin's just another comet, and not a very interesting one at that.

At any time there are usually a few dozen comets which can be tracked by amateurs, just below naked eye visibility, and Elenin isn't even the brightest of them currently.

Occasionally one of them will brighten up and become naked-eye visible, and very occasionally we get a spectacular "great comet".

None of them have any influence on earth. Their gravity is way too weak (as one astronomer put it, my car has more gravitational pull on the planet than a comet does) and even passing through a comet's tail won't have any effect, as it's damn near vacuum anyway.

By the way... this might be satelite

If you're meaning the object in the OP's video, that's my guess as well. Nice catch of the meteor though :)
