My "Hmmmmmmmm" radar is going off on this one.

Could be a foreshock?

Are they doing any fracking in the area? I know it's a highly active area for gas and oil. Because it is at such a shallow depth, something is very odd here.

Maybe watch to the north and see what is going on in Oklahoma over the next day or two... isn't the fault line through Oklahoma, extending somewhat into Texas?

The posts were only a minute apart, you guys were likely both typing in the data at the same time, so there is no way "related posts" would have worked. To hell with the earthquake, I'm more blown away by the fact that I'm not the only GLP'er in the Midland/Odessa area! I'm in Ruidoso, NM for vacation, but so far, family and friends didn't seem to notice.

Midland, Texas here. Didn't feel a thing. Tons of oil and gas here. Wouldn't be surprised if it was caused by fracking.

I didn't feel it, I'm in Lubbock. Snyder gets those regularly.

Smaller ones have been occuring in that same area for the past few years that I have been monitering, but could have been going on much longer.
That area is loaded with oil wells.
