earthquakes in the past have produced some of the cool caverns you can tour. they aren't super common but they aren't rare. they aren't unheard of in OK either. I grew up in OK/Texas and I've known of many since childhood. Come the fuck on.

I live in Lubbock, about 75 miles away from the epicenter. Didn't feel a thing here. This area has had several 2-4 magnitude quakes over the past several months, most likely due to fracking. However, this area does run right along the North American Craton. There is a 1000 ft elevation drop from Lubbock to the epicenter called the Caprock Escarpment.

I'm in the DFW metro area, we've had some very minor ones near here, and I know they get them around Alpine, but this is the first one I've heard of near Snyder.

To clarify, I don't mean there have been EQs around here today - just in the recent past.
