Pharmaceutical Comapnies at Your Doctor's Office?

I swear -- I go to a lot of appointments lately due to a failed back surgery a little less than a year ago.

But have noticed most times I'm in an office a pharma rep (usually hot lookin' chick) comes in with a big briefcase and is able to delay my appointment to schmooze the Dr..

It makes me sick -- I've also seen them send whole lunch buffets over to a large office (20+ people).

I always make a point to mention to my Doc what I saw and hope the samples and lunches are good. They always look at me as a smartass -- but just calling them out on any potential conflict of interest. Some of my docs after realizing I've nabbed them -- then treat me as more of an intellect.

Anyhow, if you see this happening, please make the point know to your Doc (our head of the Operation as lots of them our big groups) that you are watching.

After my meeting today and menitoning a guy -- I talked with the Doc about generics of all my preescriptions and he wrote all my prescriptions for Generic.

This shoud be pinned. It's an important subject/issue to keep at least drug prices in control.
