Nasa UARS update #10 - US hit Probable now

It doesn't work that way...
Being near radioactivity does not make something radioactive.

All "radiation" is, is a stray part of an atom that has left it's host. It "shoots" out and can damage the atoms of an object it hits.

Neutron radiation is the only type that can "activate" a non-radioactive material.

LOL this satellite tracker is such bs drama. Why in the world would they care to waste time and money with this other than drama. The odds of it hitting any one individual are 1 in trillions maybe more lol

Sky news reporting a good chance a large jet liner could be hit in flight.

It has been tracking the same times. At 20:00 and 04:00 hours it goes right over California. You can check your area by going to n2yo.com create an account to change the home location to where you are. Track Uars and 5 day prediction. Click on the details of each one that appears to go over your home location. It will show you the exact times it flies over you.

Yesterday was 0% chance of it hitting North America
Today it is "low probability" (10-30% maybe??) chance
Tonight.... It could hit? Possibly


NASA has already said they do not know when, or where its going to hit. The FAA sent out a notice to pilots today.

I'm not spreading fear.... I'm stating FACTS.

I wonder whose flight this thing will take out.

As of 10:30 a.m. EDT on Sept. 23, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 100 miles by 105 miles (160 km by 170 km). Re-entry is expected late Friday, Sept. 23, or early Saturday, Sept. 24, Eastern Daylight Time. Solar activity is no longer the major factor in the satellite’s rate of descent. The satellite’s orientation or configuration apparently has changed, and that is now slowing its descent. There is a low probability any debris that survives re-entry will land in the United States, but the possibility cannot be discounted because of this changing rate of descent. It is still too early to predict the time and location of re-entry with any certainty, but predictions will become more refined in the next 12 to 18 hours.

wait..30 miles per hour? Some of these pieces weigh several hundred pounds and they're saying that they will traveling at 30 mph??? What about terminal velocity? Objects that are in freefall don't slow down, it might maintain speed or even increase speed but they don't slow down. The average skydiver falls at 240 mph with arms and legs outstretched....just sayin.
