The law clamping down on 'The Piratebay'

A week ago, Hollywood got an injunction to effectively shut down the Pirate Bay by threatening its provider with huge fines. The Pirate Bay team is currently working on a solution.

Re: The law clamping down on 'The Piratebay'
Not surprising. A couple of years ago I downloaded an unreleased torrent file movie from the site and the next day my internet provider threatened to turn off our service because some movie company was monitoring the downloads and IP's.

I guess ir was due to some type of copyright infringement and my service provider was being held liable for my use of the website and downloading the torrent.

I can see the point, but was shocked to have them go that far feeling I had done nothing wrong. I argeed to not seed any of the movies that had yet to be released on DVD just to be on the safe side.

CR makes me buy more products now than ever. If I download it and like it I buy it 99% of the time. Music/Games/Blu rays.

You can never stop file sharing unless you shut down the internet. And then you still cant stop it because people will trade through mail or something lol.

ya you know how many of us do that

fact is teh torrent freaks buy more product than anyone else and that been proven.
'Whence do you come, slayer of men, or where are you going, conqueror of space?' The soul answered and said, 'What binds me has been slain, and what surrounds me has been overcome, and my desire has been ended, and ignorance has died. In a [world] I was released from a world, [and] in a type from a heavenly type, and (from) the fetter of oblivion which is transient. From this time on will I attain to the rest of the time, of the season, of the aeon, in silence.'
