Problem wiht posts like this is you do not define terms or use terms losely. What do you mean by Planet X or Nibiru? They have different defintions to different people.

Planet X was invoked many years ago to explain motions in the orbits of Neptune and Uranus. However, when the mass of Uranus was redetermined by Voyager the motions went away and so did the need for Planet X.

Tyche is the proposed name for a planet 1 - 4 times the mass of Jupiter in the Oort cloud that disturbs comets and sends the comets toward the inner solar system. There is evidence for Tyche's existence but it never comes anywhere near Pluto let alone Earth. If it exists it might be detectable in the WISE satellite database which people are looking at.

Nemesis is the name of a supposed star that also distrubed comets in the Oort cloud and had a 90 million year orbit. It never came closer than the Oort cloud. Deep infrared surveys have pretty much eliminated the existence of Nemesis.

Nibiru is supposedly a star or planet (depending who is talking) that is on a 3600 year orbit and it due to come close to the Sun in 2012. There is no evidence for Nibiru's existence. For Nibiru to arrive in 2012 it would have had an effect on the orbits of the planets long ago. And it would be visible. Those people who say Nibiru is "coming from the South" and "can only be seen in the infrared" have absolutely no clue what they are talking about. All of the southern sky is visible anywhere in the southern hemisphere. Objects in the vicinity of the Sun are visible by reflected light.

No astronmer thinks that planets the size of Jupiter or larger can't exist in the Oort cloud. For a object currently in the Oort cloud it would take millions of years to get here if it even has an orbit that brings it close to the Sun. Sky surveys have eliminated the possibility of any of these large object being nearby.

No such thing has ever been confirmed . CNN just did as rehash on the Whitmire , and Matese thing about it . The supporting evidence has to do with an area of the sky comets are tending to come from , where as far as we understand they shouldn't, so one possible explanation is a large body to nudge them out . It is called INDIRECT EVIDENCE. No direct evidence has ever been found.The indirect evidence is very flimsy as the sample size is very small ( something like 10 comets maybe 20 ) comets from that region are not regular enough for that type of statistical evidence to be very reliable .

In other words, our solar system is traveling too fast relative to Sirius in every direction you can measure for us to be in a binary with it.
