Threads like this really disappoint me. The real TRUE horror of this discussion is that we have been played.. not by the bank, not by the "market", and not corporations - but by our government. They NEED us to be dependent. We have been guided down the golden path of socialistic thinking so long that the discussion is now clouded by so many definitions of "rights" that we can no longer focus on the underlying truth. Many of us are totally dependent on some one else for our very existence. And many have grown to know no other life. Our society has become so immune to reality that we now expect wealth redistribution - and ignore the fact that it is nothing more than the confiscation of someone else's money and property.
We have come to expect so much for nothing that there is no longer ANY incentive to be productive. It's easy to understand - we see it written every day. Why should I work so someone else can sit on their ass and get things I can not afford handed to them by our government? Where is MY right to keep what I earn?
If you don't like your life - don't blame anyone else. Get off your socialistic occupying ass, turn off your x-box, get rid of your i-phone and get a job, or 2..like the rest of us.
