Just FYI -

Adepts were members of the alchemical guilds.

An adept was the true Master who is fully possessed in the mysteries of the arts. They are trained in the great work and has carried out the great work. Hence, they are truly immortal Gods.

There were 3 degrees in alchemy to reach an adept status.

1. Initiates

2. Illuminates

3. Adepts

Men like:

Moses
King Solomon
Saint John
Jesus
Saint Beda

and yes, in my eye, even Many P Hall can be added to this list of contemporary Adepts of the 20 century.....
