The beginning of the year, it was too far North. I know it changes with the seasons but never this much. It was setting almost directly North instead of West. Now it is too far South.

How do the summer and winter solstice alignments at various ancient monuments all over the world still happen as expected?

Why have astronomers, amateur and professional, not noticed these changes and been raising merry hell about them on all the astronomy forums?

How can solar observation satellites still be giving us clear images of the sun if it's not where it's supposed to be?

Maybe if you check online skymap sites, or download a program like Stellarium, you'll get a better idea of what actually happens in the sky. Memories can easily fool you, and if you don't observe regularly you'll have no reference for what's normal and what's not...
