Why? Because the vaccines have to be manufactured in advance, and they have absolutely no idea what form the flu will take the next season. So they put together a concoction that they THINK and HOPE might be somewhat similar to the real thing. And it never is.

That's right. Too many people try to burn the candle at both ends, and try to get by with only 5 hours sleep. Bump it up to 7 hours and you'll be surprised how much better you'll feel.

I can speak from experience. Even as an adult I used to get 3 colds per year. Once I stopped trying to do everything and forced myself to get the proper amount of sleep, I've had maybe 3 colds in the past 10 years!

I don't know Canadian law, but if I tell an employee to do something and they refuse, then I can fire them based on poor attitude, or anything else I want.

Op, I'm allergic to eggs. They won't give me a flu shot because of the egg allergy. You have to fill out a form that asks if you are allergic to eggs. If so, you can't get a flu shot.

Fuck that, if I get the flu, I stay home. I'm not a selfish money grubber that has to work 40 to 60 hours a week. When I get sick I stay home. And I haven't had a flu shot in 30 yrs.

They should be sent home. Bigger issue that forcing unsafe vaccines that thugs are using to give disease to people. My diabetes is from the pneumonia vaccine that doesn't work anyway, and that was encouraged because of my health. I got my MS and many others did too, plus Lupus and RA, from the swine flu vaccine in 1976.

I dont know why people have such a hard on for flu shots... A lot of the time when you get a flu shot, YOU GET THE FLU.

I've taken the flue shot two years in a row because of my employer.

Both times I got very sick and infected some of the other workers who in turn infected everybody else.

This flu season saw alot of people calling in sick and many, many hours of lost work.

I hope next year everyone calls in sick at the same time, it was close to that this year.

They will prob implement more flu shots to combat the effects of the old ones...

the flu shot should be optional. not sure what country you came from. i'm sure they would fire you or perhaps hang, torture or kill you for not getting the flu shot. but in western countries, it's optional or something is wrong.
