Ernie...almost forgot about this guy. I remember when he first started getting visions and there were many adventist wondering if he did have the visions from God. From what I remember, some high up church leaders rejected his visions and said to ignore him. There was one guy in particular that posted reasons why but I don't remember who. Im an adventist and go to sabbath school at advent hope in Loma Linda and we are studying if there are going to be prophets in the last days. So far we have concluded that there will be and that we shouldn't be so quick to reject people that say that they have a message from God but that we should listen to them and test what they say against the Bible and test their predictions. Sometimes, people have a natural tendencies to reject without testing and thats just as bad as accepting something without testing because you might reject someone that does have a message from God.

No one here is talking about the Second Coming of Jesus which will mark of this earth's history. You are attempting to read something which is not there. While it is true that no one will know the exact day of the Second Coming, this warning is not referencing that event.

This is a warning concerning important and perhaps global events which will be taking place this week which will stir and test the hearts and faith of many.

The spiritual the existential and the religious alike are all starting to understand this.

As for "Him" already being here, we WILL know - Jesus said in Matthew that as the lightning flashes from the east to the west, just so will be His second coming. Eveyone sees the lighting - it is not obscure or hidden. He's not here, yet....

Not quite. Notice the Bible says that no one will know the timing of His return. Because many will choose to prepare for it is the reason why the Second Coming will be a surprise to them, just like a thief breaking into your home at night is a surprise. You cannot know the exact hour and minute of when the thief will break in, but you can be prepared for a 'home invasion' so to speak.

2 Peter 3:10 was already quoted, and I believe it answers your question quite simply, "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

Someone already pointed out that the coming of Jesus will be a visible, audible event and no one will miss it. In fact, we are warned that false 'Christs' will come trying to deceive the people into thinking they are the true Jesus. Notice Matthew 24:23,26,

"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not." No one will miss the real return of Jesus Christ. If someone starts telling you that Jesus has come and to go and see him in a particular place you can be 100% sure that you are being led into deception.

Also, when the Bible talks about the coming of Jesus Christ, like in Matthew 24:27, it often uses the Greek word 'parousia' to describe it, which literally means a 'grand arrival', the kind that an earthly Emperor or King of old would have when he would return to his home city and the city would throw a parade, a banquet, a fanfare to announce his coming. This is what the return of Jesus Christ will be like. When He returns, all the righteous who have ever lived and died will be resurrect with new glorified bodies, and together with the living saints, will be taken up and will meet Jesus and His host of angels in the air. As this happens, the earth will be in turmoil and all life, including the wicked, will be destroyed by a hail of fire. When Jesus returns this earth as we know it will cease to exist, while the saints will be taken to heaven for a thousand years.

Before Jesus returns however, perhaps the most startling of all things which we will witness will be Satan/Lucifer's attempt at counterfeiting the Second Coming. Satan himself will at a certain point in time cause great distress on the earth and will appear to the world professing to be the returning Messiah. He will take the form of an angel of light(2 Cor 11:14), will be glorious to the eyes, will speak great words of love and comfort and promise to the human family, as well as perform great miracles and healings in the sight of all. However, some of what he will say will be totally contrary to the Word of God as found in the Bible, and through this Lucifer will seek to deceive the world into giving him direct worship, having the world believe he really is Jesus Christ. This will be his crowning act of deception on this planet and the great majority of human beings will fall for this.
