BREAKING:::: RUGER STOPS ACCEPTING ORDERS FOR ALL GUNS - The begining of the End for Guns in America

Here is the Official Statement form Ruger:

SOUTHPORT, CT –Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE-RGR), announced today that for the first quarter 2012, the Company has received orders for more than one million units. Therefore, the Company has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new orders.

Chief Executive Officer Michael O. Fifer made the following comments:

The Company’s Retailer Programs that were offered from January 1, 2012 through February 29, 2012 were very successful and generated significant orders from retailers to independent wholesale distributors for Ruger firearms.
Year-to-date, the independent wholesale distributors placed orders with the Company for more than one million Ruger firearms.
Despite the Company’s continuing successful efforts to increase production rates, the incoming order rate exceeds our capacity to rapidly fulfill these orders. Consequently, the Company has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new orders.
The Company expects to resume the normal acceptance of orders by the end of May 2012.

FBI is reporting a record number of gun sales since December. As the election gets closer we are going to see major shortages of guns and ammo.

You obviously did not read the information THE REASON THEY STOPPED IS BECAUSE RETAILERS (The STORES or PEOPLE that sell the merchandise to CUSTOMERS) had placed so many orders for guns.

Come on, it is right there in front of you to read. This site is just trying to use this information for another article.

In the rise of the Preppers article, we warned that with Guns, Gold and Emergency Food all setting record sales numbers we will likely see major shortages hit the marketplace. As people begin to stock up on preparedness related items in response to the coming election cycle, we will likely see nationwide shortages similar to what happened during the elections in 2008. I fear this is only the beginning.

Rugers, is not the only weapons dealer. Over 1 million firearms going out to DISTRIBUTORS...and they believe we are running short?!? Does this short include the other weapon dealers, as well as all the distributor store numbers...as well as the GUN SHOWS ACROSS THE STATES numbers. I know we recently had a GUN SHOW around here, and there was an amazing lot of firearms.

Believe me, we will have the necessary firearms to shoot each other with. Don't Fret so much about it. We Humans Will Find A Way To Destroy Each Other Regardless. At Least I Hope So.

Never said it was the end..... But that's why most people are stocking up because they believe that Obama will ban the sales once he gets reelected. And even if Romney gets in he's anti-gun too.

Can't dispute the facts.... Record number of gun sales every month for the last 4 months and now this. Local walmart has been out of .22 ammo for months.

The article I read said that Ruger Stock was up 14%, and that they had over 1,000,000 orders in the first 1/4. Thus there would be a delay in the manufacture and delivery of those orders. It did not say they were done, would close, not fill the orders, stop making fire arms, or anything else. You just have to wait a little longer be fore its delivered....

better wake up Ajax. they got the FEMA camps in place, all the new laws in place including NDAA and the latest Executive Order giving barry the right to confiscate any and all private property. WAKE THE HELL UP!!!!

Smith & Wesson stock has also gone up 12%. No doubt they are also getting swamped with orders.

No Doubt it's coming....... The F.B.I. reported a RECORD 1.5 million background checks were requested by firearms dealers in December of 2011 and the number has gone up every month since.

I am a gun owner but I will never live my life in fear like you do.. those executive orders have been around for a long time. They are creating fear in people like you for a reason.
