If you're a "survivalist" it's better that you build a SEALED chamber under your house, and build a HUGE water reservoir, and build a massive electrolysis machine to split that water in oxygen and hydrogen.

The hydrogen can be harnessed to produce energy. But you will need a primary source of energy to start the electrolysis. Wind and solar may work, but they will be outside of the chamber, so you can't do any repair after the oxygen level drops. It's better that it doesn't need any repair...

One alternative is to build a sealed greenhouse attached to your sealed bunker.

So you can place solar panels in the greenhouse, and give the necessary repairs to the panels if needed.
