For example, I can't understand how dangerous cults like the Church of scientology can be sued in Europe for being a dangerous sect, and be protected in the US.
Are there really people in the US govt who believe Scientology is not abusive and dangerous? And those who believe it is, can't they do anything? How fucked up is this...

If not, then you have no right to call it brainwashing. I am not a Scientologist but I did study it and I found it to contain many truths. That doesnt mean tho that it's the end all and be all. Manipulation and brainwashing is NOT about the content of a book, true or not. It's about the method used to teach it. I'm targeting the method. THAT is the brainwashing. You can defend their "truth" (even Xenu?), but you can't defend their ways nor their greed.
