The US gallon is smaller than the Royal UK gallon. Here is a great article debunking this video. I one starred this thread since it is not true and my debunking article is from May 1. [ link to pesn.com] no article debunks the video... go to VW's uk site... they post the mpg's there. you can use a simple conversion calculator to do the math. vw has one vehicle that gets 70 mpg on the highway per a US gallon. also, they do not pollute more... what tptb try to con people on is CO2 gasses which are not pollution. otherwise these cars burn cleaner than their us counter parts because the use half the fuel amount. DUHHHHHHHHHH!!! wake up sheeple. CO emissions are not the only standard NO emissions are the ones that cut fuel mileage It is all politics and $$$$ as the adding of ethanol actually produces more emissions due to the reduction of mileage per gallon as well as emission of aldehydes which are not regulated and far worse for us and the environment.
