The catch is that he was selling his silver for fiat money in the show, when people should be doing the opposite now. People watching would likely be cheering him on to take the money as they would see silver metal as being worthless compared to cold hard cash! Therefore even though the show was about silver etc, the overall effect was to brainwash the masses into cash!

FACT: The difference between a Silver Investor Silvertard is that a Silver Investor is in it to profit based on fiat currency while I Silvertard is betting that there will be a massive economic fail, taking the fiat down the drain.
