[link to en.wikipedia.org] The Educational Series series of notes is the informal nickname given by numismatists to a series of United States Silver Certificates produced by the United States Treasury in 1896, after Bureau of Printing and Engraving chief Claude M. Johnson ordered a new currency design. The notes depict various allegorical motifs and are considered by some numismatists to be the most beautiful monetary designs ever produced by the United States.[1] Wikipedia |

Crazy. Quoting: Stepping through My Shadow Not that surprising. Electrification was already in full swing, the telephone had been invented, there was a transatlantic telegraph cable, the first football stadium got electric floodlights (arc lights, not bulbs), etc. The era is called the Second Industrial Revolution by economical historians. Reaching for the sky makes you taller. Hi! My name is Halcyon Dayz and I'm addicted to morans. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22484456 Is this some kinda Freudian slip? Why do some Brits anal retentively obsess over things 'Americans' say? BTW: shouldn't that read 'SOME' Americans? 320 million people aren't all identical. |

Arrogant, stubborn and petulant? You just described the typical Brit. Maybe that's we get our 'arrogant' attitude? |

Crazy. They even put it out there on money! Quoting: Stepping through My Shadow This was part of an 'Educational Series' of silver certificates put out in 1896 by The United States Treasury. This particular note they named "Electricity as the Dominate Force in the World". Makes you wonder what they know now that will eventually be coming. :5bill: :5billback: [link to en.wikipedia.org] Damn money looked good back then. Like walking around with art in your pocket. |
