is the rain in Louisiana full of oil from the gulf ?

i am curious, anyone have any thoughts ? anyone live in the area ?

Probably not. The rain comes from water that evaportes from the Gulf. The oil that may be churned up by the storm is much less likely to be volatile enough to evaporate and subsequently precipitate out with the rain.

Lafayette Louisiana here, no oil in the rain man, nothing at all. The only event full thing that has happened is the storm has moved so slow it has dropped a ton of rain and moderate wind. Move along nothing to see here. P.s.- no levees have broken, they have been topped, which means water levels have risen and exceeded the capacity. They are thinking of blowing a levees in plaqamine parish to drain some of the flood waters.

The key here is RAIN. Sure its not in the rain but it is in the Storm Surge and the Flooding caused by the storm surge. Corexit and a genetically modified oil eating bacteria that has now made it inland because of storm surge.This alien bacteris has been changeing the DNA of all the sea life in the gulf. There was a Documentary made and scientists did some studies that found the New Artificial bacteria was changing DNA of Zoo Plankton. Photoplankton. which is the beginings of life. Go to YOU TUBE and see the video's of all the mutant animals being pulled out of the gulf. Its horrific. Now its on land.

I would worry more about corexit and SYNTHIA getting pulled up into the wind.
Oddly enough, Bp has donated a huge amount of money for Hurricane help.

They probably know now that SYNTHIA and corexit in the wind will be seeping down into people's well water.
