Most mice look/function the same way, but companies are not putting out lawsuits because mice look similiar. Quoting: Revguard That is pretty much what Apple did. But they are "big corporation" in America, and we know who makes the rules/laws in America? Dont we? :corp: Apple created the first mouse and was subsequently rip off for years by pretty much everyone in the industry. How long do you expect companies to just give away intellectual property rights? Property rights ?, you mug, Apple are basicly saying that they own rights on finger movements and the way you use your phone. Apple and their shit, rip of priced incompatible products . |

When they both say Apple's lawsuit is crap and we don't, I think it shows our legal system is more corrupt than theirs. I am a patriotic person but we should be asking why the courts in the rest of the world see Apples lawsuit as crap and we don't. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22931841 next time they'll patent how we breath. Yes, US patent law went nuts in the 1980's - 90's. It used to be that you could only patent a physical thing. Then they changed the law, probably by legislation but I'm not sure, to say that you could patent an idea too. And then everything went to hell. In that time period, any intellectual principles embedded in our legal system were destroyed, it seemed to be intentional. Our laws became abusive and remain so today. We went from enlightenment to something much worse. |

Edit: I can see the first guy who made a spear. And the next guy who copied. The first guy told him that was his idea and he cant make/use that without paying him. And there lies the problem. Our world is based on money. Not common sense. Where are patent lines drawn? So whoever made the first TV should be allowed to make all TVs and no other companies can make anything close to it? What about soda bottles. Or any other thing created by someone. That is the problem with Patents... there is too much "grey area" where lines should be drawn. Patents are designed to give ownership of an idea to a corporate entity. I think TJ said it best... "The only time you can 'own' an idea, is when you don't share it with anyone." Or words to that affect. "If you do not go within You WILL go without." A wiser man than I "Standing on truth Ensures eternal support." "There is a perfectly logical explanation for everything and a logically perfect everything for explanations." A phellow earthling |
