Until you are, I would suggesting finding the one to which you are the most responsive. Quoting: Life and Love What do you mean? If you are not going to be responsive to what you believe, what's the point? We become like that to which we are devoted. - Choose wisely. |

Until you are, I would suggesting finding the one to which you are the most responsive. Quoting: Life and Love What do you mean? If you are not going to be responsive to what you believe, what's the point? What does responsive mean in this case? Living fully into what you believe. It will never be life changing if it remains just theory or intellectual knowledge. I can't speak authoritatively about other religions, though I know something about them. However, I can speak on one: Christianity: the #1 distinctive between Christianity and society as a whole is that Christians are responsive to God. We are constantly challenged to become even more responsive, because that's how we become more fully alive. One quick example from Scripture, slightly paraphrased to fit our discussion: "Faith that is not expressed in some way (called "works") is a faith that is not responsive to God (a "dead" faith)." Frater User ID: 1193197 United States 09/17/2012 06:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sounds like you've stepped on the path and have taken up the quest. Rather than join a religion that tends to trap you in dogma which stifles learning, I suggest one of the mystery schools (Fraternity, not a religion) like The SRIA (American) or Golden Dawn and I'm very partial to the latter. If you can find no such body, the OTO is also an option. It's like a greenhouse for spiritual growth rather than a cave. Lifetimes of progress in one. Where do you live (closest city)?
