Billions of stars with planets out there, there must be something alive besides our planet.

No source is a good source unless you can verify the information yourself...as someone who has worked as a scientist I have published a far share of false results which have passed review, it's common industry practise but the general population is oblivious to it.

Sadly I don't really trust their decontamination procedures- if it was there, the chances are they took it with them. There's no checmical evidence for life on the Moon - virtually no atmosphere, and no liquid, which makes any sort of metabolism as we know it virtually impossible.
While the "as we know it" does rule out lots of possible types of life form that may be very different, that's because I'm assuming they were testing for Earth-like life. I wouldn't be surprised to find life elsewhere in the Solar System, but there are good resons to be skeptical of this one...

what i believe is that Life is actually a constant in the universe. Its something that manifest in different ways and it just uses whatever is around in the environment.

You can see it right here in earth, there are life below 40 Celsius (north and south pole) and even above 200 Celsius (ocean floor, volcanic rifts). Life is omni present in everything.

Of course complex structures or "animals" would be so different form our standards that is possible that we cannot even be able to discern form our paradigms what is alive and what is not.

:) Yes, there is life on the moon. Terrestrial and Extraterrestrial.

By life I mean any self replicating or reproducing simple cellular organisms- complex life is several magnitudes less likely...

I doubt that there is much life on the moon (wouldn't rule out the possibility, but waaay down in likelihood)


Mars- I suspect that life may have existed there at one stage (may even possibly exist)

but unlikely to find intelligent life there

I personally think we will `possibly' find `life' on several moons, and possibly maybe even a planet eventually but until we have definite proof, it remains one of my desires, and not `fact'...

Possibly we will never find `life' elsewhere in this solar system, that would be sad for me personally, but it certainly wouldnt answer the question of life existing elsewhere...

Verifiable evidence is required, if this was so it would be a major break through. But it begs the question, do we really what to find anything (the scientific community)? Do the powers that be want to find other life outside the Earth, that they cannot control?
