We have new bike paths through the city and are being told it is better for the planet - sustainable living. Mind you, here in Northern New York we are can only safely ride bikes 5 months out of the year - tops. Snow and ice isn't conducive to "bike paths." Yesterday we were only 5 votes short for having us adhere to a UN treaty that would have required us to register all American disabled babies with the U.N. FIVE VOTES! We are going under soon and I don't see anything to save us except POSSIBLY civil disobedience. Frankly I don't think the people have the balls for any kind of confrontation. Nada. The rights that the Constitution guarantees us cannot even be talked about without being arrested. And to the "Wake Up America" comment - I wrote that in an article once and someone responded "We ARE awake!" I was in fact preaching to the choir. I think everyone who needs to "be awake" ARE awake. The rest have actively and aggressively deemed themselves our enemies. I also had a former co-worker who is a total airheaded progressive snippet of a woman - write a letter to our local paper about how bad the Conservatives were and ended it with "WAKE UP PEOPLE!" She needed a good "wake up" sock in the jaw. Ever since then, frankly, I can't stand the phrase. Just wanted to add that although I agree with you. |

Here's the thing about these civil disobiefence threads ... Most of the ones that would write it are far to pussy to do it... How's this if you've never protested marched or faught for yours .. Back in the house and shut the fuck up Simply put the ones that should be revolting and walking out and causing civil disobedience are the ones that would seem to responsible to do that, but those in management ownership etc need to strike by shutting businesses and closing doors. It's them that have to continue to pay for the slackers of society ... Think of it those that work how much of your day is "busy" work ? Exactly and the owners are still paying .. So they should strike and show the employee who's really incharge ... If you're not a business owner management or in position of power shut it... Meaning if you are an employee a laborer a worker etc and upset about your pay ... Shut the fuck up you ungrateful piece of shit. So are you of influence and able or a whining lil bitch! Punk ass talkers seldom are the ones wAlking ... Ya get it Yeah, where ARE the people that will take a stand? Take me for instance...I have two dependants...if anything happens to me, they are finished. I could go protest somewhere, but I'm in New York State, and try to gather any anti-Obama protesters - virtually impossible, it's been tried. Say I protest by myself. Who the hell cares? Will the news media cover it? Nope. They didn't cover it when there were 30 protesters. Besides, the media here is all ultra-Progressives. We have a medium sized city and ONE super-liberal newspaper that refuses to print ANY of my letters. I've got two Senators, Gillibrand and Chuck U Schumer that don't give rat's ass what any of their constituents thinks. So..back to protesting..The most likely thing that would happen is I would get injured or worse. Probably jumped by one of the many black gangs that rules the city. Personally, am I willing to do something where I could get injured or arrested for civil disobedience? I might take that chance, if I only had to think about me. But I can't do that, I've got others to consider. I thought, when the country got this bad, people would come out of the woodwork to protect people like me. They haven't. It's been done in mass, that didn't matter, they just moved faster. They do not respond to this. |
