[Loose Latin translation of epitaph paid-for/placed by father.] :fireplace: "Remember when we used to treat colds and flu with chicken soup, saltwater gargles and warm tea instead of Communism?" |

Grey Eagle User ID: 58411545 United States 07/03/2017 10:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Jim was a Southern gentleman - when he was sober. He may have been against the Vietnam War, but I don't think he was ever anti-American. He wrote a song about America (L'America), he talked about America in most all of his interviews. He still had alot of old-school charm and tradition. Again, outside of the acid and the booze. He didn't own a house, he gave alot of his own money away or paid for everyone's bar-tabs. He was never convicted in Miami of indecent exposure, a second time, as far as the upcoming Appeal went. He was opposed to heroin, and wanted Pam to get off it. His whole death is mysterious and clouded with unclear facts. Pam covered up alot of what went down. She was a serious heroin addict and was scared for herself. Hence the cover-up. Paid-off a French doctor to do no autopsy, and then quickly - and QUIETLY - buried him 2-3 days after the day of death. Did he fake his own death to escape a Florida prison sentence? Did the CIA kill him with an syringed-overdose after being knocked unconscious? Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and then Jimbo... all in one years' time. All 3 leading the opposition to the Vietnam War... No one knows to this day what really happened, all speculation.. But his wife Pam died three years later in 1974 of a heroin overdose (no surprise there).. And Siddons never knew anything other than what Pam told her that following week.. :fireplace: "Remember when we used to treat colds and flu with chicken soup, saltwater gargles and warm tea instead of Communism?" |

An American rock n roll icon has just died "in a bathtub" early that morning at some time. Are rock fans surprised? How did it happen? A guy opposed to herion died of heroin? Ray describes how the Riders On the Storm piece came to be... :fireplace: "Remember when we used to treat colds and flu with chicken soup, saltwater gargles and warm tea instead of Communism?" |
