First of all, whose idea was it to have the 'fiscal cliff' deadline at the same time as an election year? If Romney had won, would Obama still have to decide what goes and what stays? Also, was our President so busy campaigning to have planned a little that he didn't have time to do his job? And now tens of millions of Americans are at risk. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6673466 If Romney had won, the stock market would be up, Christmas shopping would be in full swing and enthusiastic, the country would be swinging with joy and optimism, Congress would have met and settled the entire fiscal cliff thing, continuing the tax breaks for everyone and forcing some spending cuts. The only shadow on the horizon would be that the Pentagon and military industrial complex would starting to put the pressure on a higher military budget with a looming threat of more military intervention/wars overseas. This very scenario happened after Reagan was elected, and we had 8 years of prosperity and peace in spite of the increased Pentagon budget. So I really regret that Romney lost the election. |
