I personally wish it would have stayed down. I think so many of these "social media sites" are ruining the ways people communicate. It seems the opposite, I know, but volume of information does not equal quality, so far as I'm concerned. I realized something, after several years of using it as something to keep up with friends and family. For me, it amounted to little more than wasting hours of time watching my friends screw each other over, spouses cheat on each other, dodging updates from chronic complainers and attention whores, and getting stalked.

Not fun.

Yeah, I know, they still have my pics and info, don't really care. And, I've been able to keep in touch with friends and family after I left, hasn't been a problem. I'd rather talk with them on the phone anyway, then show my "love" by clicking "like" on a new picture of their pet. Make sense?

Speaking of bizarre.. watched that movie social network, and it came to me, kinda, when they brought up Bill Gates, even claimed the founder of fb listened/set in on one of his lectures..all that was no accident. but i've been on there for a while, so long when i signed up the guy who founded it (can't remember his name still) asked to be on my FB list.. didn't know who the heck he was, so it was declined, he see's it all anyhow...:)

LOL....hardly! My friends and relatives on FB have very interesting lives. We are very active socially.

You have to understand that not all of us post something everyday. I probably haven't posted anything for one or two months.

My friends and I usually share one or two of our photos of our vacations....or grandchildren, etc. I have a friend whose husband is in a very famous band (everyone has heard of them), and she lets us know when her husband will be on TV or at a local concert.

My last photo was of me on the Great Wall of China. Before that, it was Japan and Australia....or maybe Germany and Austria. I'm not bragging about my travels on FB because most of my friends are pilots and flight attendants. We post our photos and share our experiences on the road.

I think FB is great. I do have to admit that I have two friends who post things almost everyday, and it gets boring. Both mean well, but they go on and on and I groan.

One is a Vietnam veteran, and he couldn't be more dear, but he'll post 20 things in a row every other day....always having to do with our troops, which is great, but you can only wave the flag so much. There are photos...inspirational messages, etc.

The other is a flight attendant. Her photos and travels are okay, but every single day she posts about 20 inspirational messages. Groan. lol
