Why do people think the government is staging these massacres?

Not saying I believe it was just a random act of violence. I think something more sinister is afoot than "gun laws".

You really think tens of Millions of People are willing to give up their guns or Register their firearms (Depending on what the gun control laws are)? If the Government did things like that it could result in riots or worse. You must make the masses of people feel that we must ban guns. The theory is that the "Illuminati"..the unseen forces who control everything behind he scenes..the rich elite bankers..are slowly but methodically moving us toward a One World Government where they have total control over everything..which they believe they rightly deserve..
An increasing number of people are falling into this line of thinking and believe events like this are being manipulated to move us that way.
If, by any chance, this particular conspiracy theory happens to be true, they will need to get all of the guns away from private citizens as much as they possibly can or else it won't be a very smooth transition.
Many think "they"..not sure who...CIA, FIB, KGB, MOSAD..whoever is loyal to these elites are doing things to people..mind control things..possibly high tech..to make them snap and to things like this to convince the public that owning and having guns is bad.

However, I'm not so sure they feel that the military is entirely on their side when it comes down to confiscation.

What they want is all the citizen anti-gun owners screaming in the face of the citizen gun owners. It's not quite that way just yet, but they're pushing for it.

Once they feel they have the numbers from outside of their own ranks they will move forward on their agenda: disarmament and genocide.

With 300+ million people, serotonin reuptake inhibitors, guns and a government that controls and licenses everything these things will happen. So yes its a government inspired inevitability.

I think it's because of a couple of things.

For one, we have seen that the CIA itself has been behind several "terrorist" actions, and even individual shootings. They have incited and encouraged individuals and provided both guns and bombs.

For another, the paradigm "Problem, Reaction, Solution" seems to be embedded thinking; a modus operandum that has worked so well in the past that it continues to be used. Get enough of the populace outraged and supportive of gun control, then the work is done for you! People themselves will now go out and preach gun control, shun those who don't agree, etc. It begins to look like a grass roots movement, as if it were the peoples' idea, and not one of government suppression. Gov becomes the good guys, giving the people what they want. The psyches of the non-supporters get written up as the latest psychological aberration that need to be medicated, heehee.
