The object is behind the clouds, not in front.

One star people failed again.

Its that weird high arctic effect that allows you to see mountains that are over the horizon and such. There it is with the sun. Interesting optical phenomena is all.

Could that be the moon with the sun's glow?

Interestingly the youtuber who uploaded this video says, there is no Snow still in that region. This was filmed on the 21 Dec. 2012.

This region in Russia is full of mountains. I dismissed your point here.

I want to see the star map for that date to see where all the planets and the moon were. They way it is easy to dismiss this as nothing.
