I did not stop caffeine, but I did get myself off of that awfully addicting Diet coke (cola light in Europe). That stuff was nasty. Gone, no more cola of any sort (every once in a while).

So, yes, you can do it!

I've quit coffee before and it's always the same. Day 3 - pounding headache that last till day 5 or 6. Next couple of days could be rough.

does ibuprofen help with those headaches?

yeah , i doubt you make it past the pounding headaches...
your body will get tense, put pressure on your neck and shoulders, cuts circulation to brain, and causes you to have a headache...

only remedy, is to drink a cup a coffee, to relieve tension and get the blood flowing again...

nothing is wrong with natural coffee beans, just dont drink a freaking pot of coffee everyday,
with a pound of sugar, and nasty powdered milk/substance, or nasty ass cows breast milk.....SIMPLE.......

if i get tension, i drink a cup of coffee, and A darn strong one, no sugar, no milk, and it taste freaking great...

that will last me 2-3 days, sometimes 7-10 days...then the cycle comes again, need one strong ass coffee...

i can drink a cup 3-4 days in a row, then not need coffee for a few weeks...

its all in moderation, like everything in life, and guess what you will enjoy it soooooo much more...

so, prediction you break down and will need a cup of coffee, very soon, to relieve tension....
or else you are getting caffeine from another source....

and yes 2-3-4 ibuprofens will work on the tension headaches, because they have caffeine...
but they do not taste like a good strong sip of the blackest straight coffee...

Jesus H Christ ,what the hell do you think your doing ,you must be mad ,i went 6 hours without caffeine and it wasn't a pretty sight i tell you ,i had the shakes ,dizziness ,felt like i was going down with flu ,the next day i was lining up out side the supermarket waiting for them to open,must have drunk 4 mugs in 20 minutes ,this is the sickest most disgusting thread on here im gonna try for a ban .ps giving up cigs is 10x easier

Fuck that, I refuse to ever give up caffeine. I managed to quit cigs, weed, alchohol, aspartme, fast food, etc.. but I tell you this, it will be one of the coldest days in hell ever recorded before I give up my caffeine.

Nothing will stop the craving ,please give up giving up if you value ur sanity ,i cut down from 15 a day too 9 ,it takes will power.

In some people coffee enzymes irritate the GI tract and cause discomfort and minor problems, but for most people it's beneficial to the digestive process...in moderation of course...even a scoop of ice cream, for those that can tolerate lactose, is beneficial as well...simple vanilla from real vanilla bean, or even chocolate as chocolate has some health benefits too :)

My friend lived very close to the World Trade Center and she said after 9/11 and everyone's electricity was out all over that the huge thing was everyone desperate for coffee, everyone just miserable.

I'm on day 2 of no caffeine. I've had my fill of it, so I'm kicking the habit.

I am sick of all the fucking quitters! Stop quitting shit! Caffeine and Nicotine are the greatest fucking thing in the world. Nothing is better especially together! The gods of caffeine and Nicotine will not be pleased to hear of yet another quitter!

I am on 6 months without caffine I found drinking peppermint tea stopped my caffine headaches pretty quickly, drink a 2 cups a day for a week headaches are gone. I had the same problem as u had with the headaches so I googled it and found the tea works. Before I stopped I was drinking 6 cups of coffee a day and a 24oz of mtn dew daily then started to get heart paplation so I had to quick cool turkey. Good luck!
