Anonymous Coward User ID: 12871518 Philippines 02/11/2013 02:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I first wrote this in 2005 on a site full of people who are above top stupid and again, repeatedly on this site, including 2005. People laughed at me, but, today, Turkson is the favourite. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33130922 Here's what I wrote... Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson fits all the prophecies and the intents of the Catholic Church should the current sick Pope die. - The Catholic Church have a clear cut record of giving the Papacy to those from weak and small countries to redress political clout. Turkson comes from Ghana. - There is a move afoot to have a Thrid World Pope. - The Catholic Church gives the papacy alternatively to old men and to young men, hence the next should be young. Turkson is the second youngest. - Turkson has been close to the current Pope and his views on contraception. - Prophecy says that the next Pope will be "Peter the Roman". Turkson went to train at a religious institution in Rome. As a result, in his own home town in Ghana, he is ALREADY nicknamed "Peter The Roman" - Another prophecy says that the last Pope of all time will be "The son of a Turk". Peter's name is literally "Turk-son" - Another prophecy state that a Pope will move the seat of the Pope to Avignon. Avignon AIr is a major airline in Ghana. Turkson will not be pope. |

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. I think that Benedict may have made up his mind by then, and he gave his formal notice to the upper echelon back then. |

Pope John Paul I died alone in September 1978 only a month after his election to the Papacy. The suddenness of the death, and the Vatican's difficulties with the ceremonial and legal death procedures such as issuing a legitimate death certificate have resulted in several conspiracy theories. This time they had to use a resignation to cover it up. |

Does anyone remember when that pope died back in the late 70's? I remember getting up at 3:30-4am that morning...going out with a bunch of my cheerleader friends to toilet paper football player's houses because it was homecoming week. We were driving around, stopped to get Dunkin Donuts coffee and when we got back in the car and the radio came back on, they announced the death of the newly appointed pope...seems to me he had only been pope a month at the most. It was so shocking to me because my Mom had talked with me a lot about the End Times even back then and I knew the death of a pope was significant... the hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I heard the news report. Didn't say anything to my friends because there would be no way they would "get it" but I always felt that pope's death was not by accident or natural causes. Did I think it was "The End"? Not really...it was a pope that I didn't think was all that old (I'll have to look it up on wiki but I don't think he was even 80) but I'll have to check or maybe someone else can chime in. Like someone else said, we won't know anything until the conclave...I thought the comment about the interim pope was interesting as well...will something happen during the interim? |
